DENTAL IMPLANTS IN BAKERSFIELD

Replace missing teeth with a plan designed for you.

Dental implants can restore stability, chewing function and a natural-looking smile. Your visit begins with an evaluation and a clear discussion of appropriate options.

A STABLE FOUNDATION

For one tooth—or a complete smile.

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth. Depending on your needs, implants can support a crown, bridge or denture.

At SDDS Dental, we coordinate planning, placement, restoration and maintenance so each stage works as part of one plan.

DENTAL IMPLANT OPTIONS

A plan based on what you need to replace.

The number and position of missing teeth, your bite and available bone help determine which design may be appropriate.

One missing tooth

Single-tooth implant

A dental implant can support an individual crown without using the neighboring teeth as part of the restoration.

Several missing teeth

Multiple teeth & implant bridges

Strategically placed implants may support a bridge when several neighboring teeth are missing.

Added denture stability

Implant-supported dentures

Implants can help a removable or fixed denture feel more stable while eating, speaking and smiling.

Comprehensive restoration

Full-mouth implant solutions

For extensive tooth loss, a carefully planned implant restoration may rebuild function across an entire arch.

YOUR TREATMENT, STEP BY STEP

A complex process, explained clearly.

Every plan is individual. These four stages show the general path and where important decisions are made.

01
STEP 1

Evaluation & planning

We review your teeth, gums, bite, available bone and health history. Imaging and digital planning help us determine which options may be appropriate and whether any preparatory treatment is needed.

02
STEP 2

Implant placement

The implant is placed in a planned position to create a foundation for the replacement tooth. Temporary tooth options depend on the location and individual treatment plan.

03
STEP 3

Healing & integration

During healing, the bone forms a stable connection around the implant. We monitor progress and explain how to protect the area while it heals.

04
STEP 4

Final restoration & maintenance

A custom crown, bridge or full-arch restoration is designed for your bite and smile. Ongoing hygiene visits and home care help protect the implant and surrounding tissues.

Treatment timing varies. Extractions, bone grafting and temporary restorations are recommended only when appropriate for your individual case.

ARE IMPLANTS RIGHT FOR YOU?

The answer starts with an evaluation.

Implants can be an excellent option for many people, but there is no universal plan. We review the factors that influence healing, stability and maintenance before recommending treatment.

Call for an evaluation

Gum and bone support

We evaluate tissue health and the available bone in the planned area.

Health and history

Medications, health conditions and prior healing are part of the conversation.

Habits and maintenance

Hygiene, tobacco use, clenching and maintenance visits can affect the plan.

COORDINATED IMPLANT CARE

From planning to your final tooth.

When implant treatment is appropriate, we keep the surgical and restorative decisions connected.

Digital planning

Imaging, measurements and design guided by your anatomy and final restoration.

Care in one office

Placement, restoration and follow-up can be coordinated through SDDS Dental.

Custom restoration

We design implant crowns and bridges for your bite with a United States based milling partner.

Ongoing maintenance

Monitoring and hygiene guidance help protect the restoration and surrounding tissues.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

Review the options before you decide.

After your evaluation, we provide a clear treatment estimate. We accept most PPO plans, some HMO plans and offer payment choices, including Cherry financing for eligible applicants.

Who may be a candidate for dental implants?+

Candidacy depends on gum health, bone support, health history, medications, habits and the ability to maintain the area. An evaluation is the only way to determine which option is appropriate for you.

How long does implant treatment take?+

The sequence varies. Some plans are straightforward, while others include an extraction, bone grafting or additional healing. We explain the expected stages and timing after examining you.

Is bone grafting always needed?+

No. Bone grafting is recommended only when the available bone is not sufficient for the planned implant position or long-term support.

Can SDDS Dental coordinate placement and the final tooth?+

Yes. Implant planning, surgical placement, restorative design and follow-up can be coordinated through our office when implant treatment is appropriate for you.

How do I care for a dental implant?+

Implants require consistent brushing, cleaning around the restoration and professional maintenance. We will show you the tools and schedule appropriate for your restoration.

How much do dental implants cost?+

Cost depends on the number of implants, type of restoration and whether preparatory treatment is needed. After your evaluation, we provide a treatment estimate and can review insurance and financing options.
